14/01/2022 - The Sian Chay Redhill branch officially commenced operations. In addition to providing Traditional Chinese Medicine consultation, acupuncture, tuina therapy, foot reflexology, haircut and other services, the new recreation corner also held music, dance, yoga and other activities. Thereby fostering a new dimension for the Redhill estate,providing residents with convenient access to medical treatment and healthcare.
The TCM clinic, located at Blk 87, Redhill Close, is the 14th branch of Sian Chay Medical Institution. The opening ceremony was presided by Mr Chan Chun Sing, Minister of Education), accompanied by Mr Melvin Yong, Member of Parliament for Radin Mas SMC.
In an interview with 《Lianhe Zaobao》, Minister Chan Chun Sing said, “Sian Chay Medical Institution’s help to residents is not only in form, but also more importantly, spiritual. The range of equipment and services here is quite comprehensive, and the sick can receive treatment. You may also participate in recreational activities that are beneficial to your body and mind. Prevention is better than cure. The treatment is complementary to the national health system.”
The three entrepreneurs pledged to donate $100,000 each per year. The newly set up recreation centre in Redhill Branch is the third Centre sponsored and supported by Sian Chay Medical Institution. In addition to holding various recreational activities, the recreation centre is eqipped with karaoke equipment for residents to use. The day-to-day operations of the centre is managed by the Radin Mas Citizens Consultative Committee. After being put into operation, Sian Chay Redhill Branch and Radin Mas Recreation Centre can serve about 300 residents daily, and the annual operation is above $400,000.

Mr. Melvin Yong shared: “The first time I collaborated with Sian Chay Medical Institution was when I established the Moulmein-Cairnhill branch in 2017. The residents found the services provided by Sian Chay useful, convenient and affordable. When I came to the Radin Mas SMC in 2020, I hoped to provide similar services to our Radin Mas residents. Because many of the residents are elderly or have elderly parents and grandparents. Some of them have mobility issues. So I contacted Mr. Toh from Sian Chay. We are very glad that Sian Chay has agreed to set up and open a Redhill branch in our constituency in such a short period.
Mr. Ng Swee Choon PBM shared: “Now is a difficult time. Whether it is an enterprise or a charitable organization, they are all facing the problem of survival. Straits Realty has been in business for so many years, and has always adhered to the principle of “taking from society and giving back to society” to help the disadvantaged groups as much as possible. Dr. Teo Hark Piang PBM shared: “You can’t lose money by doing charity, because you can get great wealth in your soul, and you will get full of positive energy from it, and you will not go astray when you do good things everyday. 20/02/2022 - Sian Chay Medical Institution live-streamed the charity concert “Sail Again Concert” on the Sian Chay Medical Institution’s Facebook. Live broadcast location: 3rd Floor, Koo Chye Ba Sheng Hong Temple.

19/02/2022 - Neo Garden Group sponsored 100 New Year gift packs, which were distributed to patients at Sian Chay Choa Chu Kang Branch. The gift package contains two cans of New Year cookies, a box of Nyonya pastries, and two mandarin oranges to wish everyone good health.
Thanks to Neo Garden Group for featuring Sian Chay Medical Institution as one of the main partners of the group’s corporate social responsibility programme, and the two partners regularly co-ordinate and organize more community welfare activities.

01/05/2022 - 38 Sian Chay volunteers distributed 2,500 gift packs containing reusable masks, hand sanitizers and Sian Chay’s leaflets to the public to celebrate Labour Day.
Sian Chay Medical Institution, as a charity traditional Chinese medicine organisation, with a history of one hundred years, actively promotes the five core values of “Forgiveness, Universal Love, Compassion, Gratitude, and Blessing” and the Sian Chay beliefs that promotes “Nation Progress, Family prospers. 08/05/2022 - Sian Chay Mother’s Day Celebration
Sian Chay gathered 130 volunteers in the open space next to Bras Basah Complex, and they sang “Mum Is the best in the World” together. Afterwards, these 130 volunteers set off to distribute 2,000 gift packs containing a carnation, a pack of reusable masks (2 pieces), and a hongbao to mothers at Bugis. Each gift pack comes with a greeting card from Sian Chay Medical Institution, wishing them a happy Mother’s Day, good health and a happy family!
Sian Chay Medical Institution organized the Mother’s Day event to instill in the children with kindness and gratitude, so that mothers can feel their children’s filial piety and respect. Filial piety affects the health, and filial piety brings brightness. Celebrating the greatness of motherly love promotes kindness, positivity, respect and giving back. Gratefulness in filial piety creates a happy family, and a happy family also creates a harmonious society!

15/06/2022 - 《Sian Chay Medical Institution Distributed Gift Packs to Celebrate Father’s Day》
Sian Chay Medical Institution gathered 50 volunteers at the Geylang head office to prepare gift packs. Thereafter 50 volunteers visited Paya Lebar, Little India, Bugis, Chinatown and Boon Keng to distribute 2,000 gift packs to the public. Each pack contained one packet of vitamin C, a packet of reusable masks (2 pieces), and a greeting card for Father’s Day, offering warm wishes on Father’s Day. Concurrently, Sian Chay also distributed 2,625 packets of vitamin C and greeting cards at the 14 branches to celebrate Father’s Day.
16/06/2022 - Mr. Eric Chua Swee Leong, Senior Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth and Ministry of Social and Family Development, visited the headquarters of Sian Chay Medical Institution in Geylang. Toh Soon Huat, JP, Voluntary Executive Chairman of Sian Chay Medical Institution, led the tour of the medical institution and shared Sian Chay’s services, core values and beliefs. They also discussed collaboration projects to better care for the residents of Queenstown. Thanks to SPS Eric Chua for his support to Sian Chay Medical Institution.
17/06/2022 - The 3rd Hair+Lab International Scalp Festival Donated $10,000 to Sian Chay’s Charity Causes
Hair+Lab, a well-known local hair growth brand that has always cares for social welfare and giving back to society, hosted the 3rd International Scalp Festival in the Building Materials premises and Mr Huang donated $10,000 to support Sian Chay’s charity activities. The $10,000 donation can help 2,000 patients with free consultation and medicine at Sian Chay Medical Institution. Toh Soon Huat, JP, Voluntary Executive Chairman of Sian Chay Medical Institution, represented Sian Chay as the special guest of the event.
17/06/2022 - Sian Chay Medical Institution gathered 50 volunteers to visit Paya Lebar, Little India, Bukit City, Chinatown and Boon Keng to distribute 2,000 gift packs containing a packet of vitamin C and a packet of reusable masks (2 pieces), and a greeting card to share full blessings as well as introduce Sian Chay’s Chinese traditional medicine charity platform to the public and to welcome everyone to visit Sian Chay Medical Institution for healthcare.
18/06/2022 - Every year, Sian Chay Medical Institution organised a Flag Day, which raised funds through donation tins and pledge cards. 2022 Flag Day of Sian Chay Medical Institution was held on 18 June. Due to safe management measures, the street collections were prohibited. We could only collect donations through pledge cards, appeal letters, online donations (giving.sg) and placement of donation tins at 14 Sian Chay branches. This project has come to a successful conclusion. With everyone’s support and efforts, a total of $254,600.80 donations were raised (not including the Tote Board grant). The total donations can benefit 25,460 low-income patients at receiving free traditional Chinese medicine consultation, low-cost medicine, tuina therapy and healthcare services.
25/6/2022 - The woman entrepreneur and her husband donated $500,000 to Sian Chay Medical Institution, hoping to inspire other women to participate in charitable activities.
The Executive Director of K2 F&B Holdings , who started from scratch as a fishmonger, and his wife, Ms Pamelo Leow, have not forgotten to give back to society while thriving for business over the years. They often participate in various charity fundraising activities. Chu Chee Kheong is the Honourable Chairman of Sian Chay Medical Institution, and his wife, Ms Pamelo Leow, is not only the pillar of the family and career, but also supports her husband in doing good deeds. The couple has donated huge sums of money to the medical institution countless times over the years.
Ms Pamelo Leow said in an interview with Zaobao that this year coincided with the 30th anniversary of the couple’s marriage, and they have donated $300,000 to Sian Chay Medical Institution when celebrating their 25th anniversary five years ago. They decided to increase their efforts this year, giving the medical institution more resources to help more elderly people in need. “We ourselves will grow old one day, and I also hope that society will treat us warmly when we are old. I bring my children to participate today, and I hope to inspire them to participate in more charitable deeds. Don’t care about the ability to give more or less, as long as it lasts, Long-term help is a good thing.
01/07/2022 - Sian Chay Medical Institution collaboration with Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA)
Starting from July, Sian Chay Medical Institution would be collaborating with the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) to enable the elderly to learn and master digital skills, and to keep in touch with relatives and friends through Zoom and WhatsApp platforms; Services such as the e-government password (SingPass) app, Mobile and prevention against online scams for seniors, e-payments at cooked food centres and markets etc are taught to assist seniors in need. The Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) has launched the Seniors Go Digital movement where digital ambassadors will give free one-on-one coaching to seniors in each branch to operate mobile applications.
Interested seniors do not need to register in advance, they only need to go directly to the branch to participate in the course on the day.

08/07/2022 - Zhixuanyou’ supports Sian Chay with the donation of ‘Merlion’ NFT paintings.
“Beginning from New ” book launch and autograph signing ceremony by the well-known overseas graduates platform – Zhixuanyou was held at the Bookstore in Singapore. The voluntary Executive Chairman of Sian Chay Medical Institution, Mr. Toh Soon Huat, JP, Mr Wu Wei, the founding dean of the Nanyang Public Graduate School, Mr Li Guosheng, the President of the Zhejiang Chamber of Commerce in Singapore, and Mr Li Wei, the Principal of the Singapore Furen International School, attended the ceremony as invited guests.
At this new book launch Mr Yang Zhou, the Founder and CEO of Zhixuanyou, donated an NFT painting of Singapore’s iconic landmark “Merlion”, created by his father Yang Yunping, to Sian Chay Medical Institution, and planned to auction it for $20,000 for charity, to carry forward the spirit of Singapore.
Mr Yang Yunping is a painter and has also been involved in education for decades. He once edited art textbooks for Shanghai middle schools. He spent 20 years traveling around the world and created more than 2,000 paintings of landmark buildings. Education is the positive energy of good knowledge.
Chairman Toh Soon Huat shared at the press conference: Education affects the family, education affects society, education affects the nation education affects the world, education affects humanity and education affects the universe and nature. Education is good knowledge and positive energy. Professional education is a must. Education conforms to the trend of social development and is a sacred place for cultivating talents. Education is the field of mutual communication, learning, self-improvement, change, self-cultivation, and understanding of the world. He said: “Now there are more new immigrants who come to Sian Chay to do volunteer work. Many mothers accompany their children to study and live in Singapore. But it is not easy to assimilate into a new environment. Therefore, he supports Mr. Yang Zhou’s overseas education journey. This new book “Beginning from New” is really helpful to the students and parents.”
During the interview, Yang Zhou revealed: “Zhixuanyou makes donations to Sian Chay in the name of students, and the platform will also make donations on a dollar for dollar matching basis. We often take students to Sian Chay Medical Institution to make donations, interviews and participate in volunteer service, hoping to plant a seed of philanthropy in the hearts of students!”

19/07/2022 - Sian Chay Choa Chu Kang Clinic commenced serving residents. The scope of services included TCM consultation, acupuncture, tuina therapy, foot reflexology and haircut services. From 19 to 30 July 2021 (11 days), it served 1288 patient visits, and dispensed dosages of 2539 prescriptions. On average, it served 70 patients and 117 visits per day. The goal is to serve 150 patients and 200 visits per day.
Sincere appreciation to the Founder, Chairman and CEO of Neo Group, who is also the Honourable Chairman of Sian Chay Medical Institution, Mr. Neo Kah Kiat PBM for his sponsorship of $500,000 for the construction costs of the Choa Chu Kang branch.
Not only that, Neo Group also pledged $300,000 per year to adopt the Choa Chu Kang Branch for its operation and medical expenses. This sponsorship has resolved the operational costs of Sian Chay Medical Institution. Neo Group has featured Sian Chay Medical Institution as the main partner of the group’s corporate social responsibility programme. The two partners will collaborate to take care of the vulnerable groups and benefit society. Both management teams will hold regular meetings to coordinate and organize networking and exchange activities.
21/07/2022 - REACH Singapore and “Shin Ming Daily News” jointly organized the live dialogue on “Gaps in the society”. The Guest of Honour, Mr Eric Chua, Senior Parliamentary Secretary of the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth and Ministry of Social and Family Development, discussed about the challenges faced by the socially disadvantaged and how to help them improve their prospects. Two other guest panellists, Mr Ng Meng Teck, Founder and CEO of Montfort Care Singapore, and Mr Toh Soon Huat, volunteer Executive Chairman of Sian Chay Medical Institution, also participated in the dialogue to share their experiences. This dialogue discussed how to reach out to vulnerable groups, how to establish a good communication relationship with them, and how to help them break out of the “vicious circle” and so on.
24/07/2022 - Thanks to the committee and members of the Jurong East Street 24 merchants and hawker centre’s 7th month festival committee for donating $15,000 to support the charity cause of Sian Chay Medical Institution. This donation can benefit 1,500 patients visiting Sian Chay Medical Institution with free TCM consultation and medicine. Helping a patient in a family is equivalent to helping all members of the family, allowing them to enjoy relief from suffering, fostering a happy family, and a harmonious and peaceful society.
28/07/2022 - Newly appointed President of Chui Huay Lim Club, Mr Ng Hoy Keng PBM donated $100,000 to 5 charity organisations. Mr Ng presented the $20,000 donation cheque to Sian Chay Volunteer Executive Chairman, Mr Toh Soon Huat JP, witnessed by the Guest-of-Honour Dr Tan See Leng, Minister for Manpower and Second Minister for Trade and Industry. Merit is boundless.
31/07/2022 - Sian Chay Medical Institution and Lexus Entertainment jointly produced an online live broadcast of《Sian Chay’s Infinite Gratitude and Bountiful Love Variety Show》, providing entertainment to the audience during the epidemic. In 2022, a total of 8 episodes of Variety Shows were held on 31st July, 21st & 28th Aug, 4th & 18th Sep, 2nd, 16th & 30th Oct. This three-month long physical performance was at the Sheng Hong Hall at Koo Chye Ba Sheng Hong Temple. At the same time, it was simultaneously broadcast live on Facebook, YouTube online platforms, and also broadcast through China’s NetEase platform.

30/7/2022 - Sian Chay Medical Institution and Cheng Hong Welfare Services Society signed a Memorandum of Understanding on “Afterlife Memorial Services” to implement free funeral rites for lonely elderly and vulnerable groups, including funerals and ashes placement, regardless of race or religion; entering the last journey of life with a peace of mind.
Witnessed by Mr Eric Chua, Senior Parliamentary Secretary of the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth and Ministry of Social and Family Development, Toh Soon Huat, Voluntary Executive Chairman of Sian Chay Medical Institution and Dr Kenny Sim, Chairman of Cheng Hong Welfare Services Society, Ms Annie Gan, Social Affairs Director of Sian Chay Medical Institution and Lawrence Lim General Secretary of Cheng Hong Welfare Services Society signed the MOU.

Chairman Toh was invited to attend the launching ceremony of Radin Mas community project “Let Me Give A Treat ” organised by Radin Mas grassroots volunteers to help hawkers and residents in need at Telok Blangah Cooked Food Centre. Customers who visit Telok Blangah Food Center can order meals from participating hawkers and pay the hawkers any amount they wish. Vendors who receive excess money will place a small magnet in front of the stall, and those in need can exchange the magnet for a meal.

09/08/2022 - To celebrate the National Day, Sian Chay Medical Institution prepared 3,000 packs of delicious nutritious cereals and 3,264 packs of delicious nutritious chocolates for distribution to patients and residents from 14 branches of Sian Chay islandwide. Colleagues of Sian Chay also sincerely offered their warm wishes.
Sian Chay also gathered 120 volunteers to assist with the distribution of 10,000 bottles of hand sanitizer to the public across the island. Each gift pack comes with a greeting card from Sian Chay Medical Institution, wishing everyone a happy National Day, good health and happy family!

15/08/2022 - With over 30 years of community service, he has been serving in Sian Chay for 14 years without remuneration and compensation. and almost donated most of his wealth he earned to society. In addition to being awarded the Public Service Star (Bar), Dr. Toh Soon Huat, was also the first Singaporean to be awarded the Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Charity Foundation's Compassion Award recently.
Created in 2006, the Compassion Award aims to recognise role models of selfless dedication, encourage good deeds and right social mores. This year's 17th Compassion Award winners included philanthropist Dr. Toh Soon Huat (62 years old), who went go to Hong Kong to receive the Award in November.
Dr. Toh Soon Huat said in an interview with Zaobao: "I am very honoured to be awarded this Award. I believed that persistence in doing good deeds can spread the culture and philosophy of philanthropy and encourage more people to spread positive energy together."
The Compassion Award of the Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Charity Foundation will extend its selection to Chinese people all over the world from 2020, and there will be eight winners in each conferment. Celebrities who have been conferred this Award in the past include entertainer Lin Chi-ling, the late veteran actor Sun Yue, Master Cheng Yan, Master Xing Yun and so on.
16/08/2022 - Chairman Toh Soon Huat led the volunteers to deliver 80 large-sized care packs in Chinatown that night, including: (pillows, pillowcases, quilts, bed sheets, bath towels, towels, shower gel, cups, toothbrushes, toothpaste, oatmeal, biscuits.) to homeless people in need of assistance. They all hang out because of different reasons, such as no shelter, financial difficulties, reluctance to go home, family conflicts and so on. Sian Chay hopes to make them feel warmth through this act of love, understand their needs, and provide assistance to them within Sian Chay's capabilities.

I would like to thank the Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan Charitable Foundation for recognising and encouraging me by presenting me with the Compassion Award. I very much agree and admire the Compassion Award for "spreading love, encouraging good deeds, promoting filial piety, upholding social ethics and building a peaceful society. The philosophy of the Award is the same as that of society. These ideals are highly compatible with the objectives of society. I will adhere to the spirit of the Compassion Award by donating the prize money to the organisers for the purpose of promoting the charity.

12/08/2022 - Chairman Toh Soon Huat was awarded the Public Service Star (Bar). This is the third time he has received the National Day Medal. He was awarded the Public Service Medal in 2004 and the Public Service Star in 2009. In 2015, he was the Individual Award Winner in the Adult Category of the President's Volunteerism and Philanthropy Award. He was appointed as a Justice of the Peace in 2018 and was included in Forbes Asia's "Asian Heroes of Philanthropy" list in 2019.Toh Soon Huat is the founder of Novena, Holdings Limited, a furniture company. At the peak of his career, he sold the listed company and turned to full-time voluntary charity work. In 2008, he took over the Chairmanship of Sian Chay. "We can't decide one'd lifespan, but we can decide the depth of our life.Charity is a kind of culture, connotation, human touch and learning, a self-cultivation, and a motivation to enrich life, which embodies the value of life."
He said that it is not enough to rely on one person to do charity alone, so he is very grateful for the dedication of the team and the support of like-minded friends around him. 07/09/2022 - Sian Chay Medical Institution, Singapore Paincare Holdings and A. M. Aesthetics signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the 《Sian Chay Charity Draw 2022》. Singapore Paincare Group and A.M. Aesthetics are supporting this campaign with $20,000 each in 2021. This year, Sian Chay printed 100,000 charity draw tickets@$3 to be sold at 14 Sian Chay branches. The fundraising target is $300,000. The donations are used to support low-income patients who seek charitable traditional Chinese medicine services at Sian Chay Medical Institution.

24/09/2022 - Sian Chay Medical Institution and Marsiling Woodgrove jointly organised a community welfare sharing session, the theme of which is healthcare and post-COVID-19 care that the elderly are most concerned about. 80 senior citizens from Marsiling Woodgrove signed up for the event. At the event, the staff, Member of Parliament and distributed light meals and refreshments to the elders, and distributed a complementary pair of negative ion health care socks to each participant. Physician Hu Yunyi from Sian Chay shared about healthcare knowledge and answered questions on the spot. MP Henry Soh chatted with the elderly and found that many people would choose to go to a TCM physician for consultation when they feel unwell. The "Healthier SG Plan" should pay attention to the integration of traditional Chinese and Western medicine. Each of the employee has their personal sharing). Among them, Yun Zhen, a pharmacy assistant, has worked in Sian Chay Medical Institution for 14 years. She has witnessed the growth and changes of Sian Chay Medical Institution with Mr. Toh Soon Huat. Dr. Ho has served Sian Chay for 41 years and is 78 years old this year. He said: "There was only one Sian Chay Medical Institution in the beginning. Chairman Toh led Sian Chay to revival and expanded to today's scale, benefiting more poor people. Chairman Toh often encouraged me to work for as long as I can and safe as many people as I can.” Hard work is a kind of loyal and silent commitment. In order to live up to Chairman Toh’s expectation and trust, and to continue the bright vision and heritage of Sian Chay, I would like to thank Dr. Ho for continuing to do good things with universal love, growing Sian Chay with leaps and bounds.
Physician Lee, who is also a veteran physician, is 76 years old and has served in Sian Chay for 39 years. She is a contributor to Sian Chay and a witness to the development of Sian Chay. She dedicated nearly 40 years of her prime years to Sian Chay without complaint or regret, and she still examined patients and saves lives every day, showing compassion and never complaining. She said: "A lot of people ask me, why have you been working in Sian Chay for so many years? At first I just took it as a job, and then I realized that here I can help so many disadvantaged groups. Chairman Toh made me realize that every living day is bright, so it is worthy of our gratitude and dedication.” Thanks to physician Lee for her quiet dedication. Compassion and wisdom, universal love and bright vision; especially during the current epidemic, many people are affected physically and mentally. It coincided with the 84th Board of Directors of Sian Chay Medical Institution (2021-2023), winner of Sian Chay Medical Institution’s Special Contribution Award and Lifetime Honourable Chairman Dato’ Dr. Tan Hian-Tsin, who turned 98 years old. Chairman Toh Soon Huat led all brothers and sisters to sing for Dr. Tan the birthday song and send birthday wishes. I wish Dr. Tan a blessing with happiness and long-life. I am grateful to Dr. Tan for his outstanding contributions to Sian Chay Medical Institution over the years. His universal love and selflessness is a role model for everyone, and he has contributed unprecedented wealth and love to society. Chairman Toh Soon Huat also agreed with Dr. Tan to hold a dinner to celebrate his centenary, to thank him and bless him.

The Sian Chay Charity Draw organized by Sian Chay Medical Institution with the support of the Tote Board. The event aimed to raise funds and provide medical services for those in need. Anyone who buys a $3 charity draw ticket can participate in the charity draw. The Charity Draw divided has 50 prizes, of which the first prize is $15,000; the second prize is $8,000; the third prize is $5000; the fourth to tenth prizes are $1,000; prizes from the 1st to 30th consolation prizes are $500; prizes from the 31st to 50th prizes are $100, and the total prize money is $47,000.

The charity draw results were published in 《The Straits Times》 and 《Lianhe Zaobao》 on 26th November. The Deadline to claim prizes was 31st December. The fundraiser raised $359,174.55 (included Tote Board grant)
17/12/2023 - Sian Chay Medical Institution hosted a love sharing breakfast and goodie bag distribution next to the Marsiling branch. This event was sponsored by Liang Yixing Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. and assisted by Ci Yuan Lions Club of Singapore. 170 senior citizens of Marsiling were invited to attend the event.
Mr Liang Qingming, Chairman of Liang Yixing Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. shared: "We are a pharmaceutical business from Malaysia, and we are very happy to come to Marsiling to share about healthy living with the residents. Thanks to Sian Chay Medical Institution and Ci Yuan Lions Club, and we wish the handsome men and beautiful ladies good health.”
Lion Yang Zhou, President of the Singapore Ci Yuan Lions Club, shared: "The Ci Yuan Lions Club is a charitable organization for the new immigrants. The staff of Sian Chay and 10 volunteers divided the breakfast and delivered the bento to the residents individually. After everyone enjoyed the food, the volunteers distributed 170 love goodie bags to everyone. Mr Liang Qingming, the Chairman of Liang Yixing Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., and Zheng Lili and his wife sponsored the goodie bags for this event, which included: three bottles of Medicinal Oil, a pack of coffee, and a pack of biscuits. For their reading pleasure, everyone also received a complementary copy of the Chinese and English books written by Mr. Toh Soon Huat, JP, voluntary Executive Chairman of Sian Chay Medical Institution, so that the body and mind will be full of love and care.
The residents expressed their gratitude for such care, which not only relieved the burden on their family, but also felt the comfort of the soul and sincere blessings.
17/12/2022 - Sian Chay Medical Institution has organised a series of "Christmas Celebrations and New Year's Eve" activities. Managers Zhang Bingnan and Zheng Wanjun led six volunteers to 313 Orchard Road, where the Christmas atmosphere is strongest in Singapore, and distributed exquisite gift packs to passers-by. Inside each gift pack are Christmas cards, hongbaos and promotion flyers of Sian Chay Medical Institution. This event will spread the Christmas blessings of Sian Chay Medical Institution, and guide more residents to seek medical consultation and exchange healthcare, and promote the philanthropy culture of Sian Chay Medical Institution. Some passers-by who got the gift packs accepted our interviews and shared their expectations and best wishes for the New Year.
18/12/2022 - “Jalan Besar Upper Boon Keng Road Residents’ Committee and kidsREAD year-end Christmas celebration”, Sian Chay Medical Institution, as the main sponsor, fully supported this event. The Guest of Honour for the celebration was the Minister of Communications and Information, the Second Minister of the Ministry of Home Affairs and Minister in charge of the Smart Nation Project, Minister in charge of Cyber Security, Grassroots Adviser of Jalan Besar GROs, Mrs Josephine Teo, Voluntary Executive Chairman of Sian Chay Medical Institution, Dato' Seri Dr Toh Soon Huat, JP, BBM(L), PVPA and Zhang Bingnan and Mr Chua Boon, Managers of Sian Chay Medical Institution, attended the event and interacted cordially with the residents. A variety of Christmas celebration activities were carried out. Residents put on Christmas costumes, children sang Christmas songs together, and Sian Chay Medical Institution gave books and gifts. Sian Chay Medical Institution prepared 350 gift packs and 300 souvenirs for distribution to the residents participating in the activity.

The "Christmas Charity Luncheon for the Elderly" was held in Huanxi Building. 610 seniors, people with disabilities and 100 volunteers were invited to enjoy the free Christmas lunch! The event was personally funded by Dato’ Seri Toh Soon Huat, JP, BBM(L), PVPA, the voluntary Executive Chairman of Sian Chay Medical Institution. The total budget was $30 000.A total of 90 tables with sumptuous food were hosted. Co-hosts included Union Energy, Nam Hwa Teochew Opera; Supporting organisations: Cheng Hong Welfare Services Society, Care and Share Society, Love-Link Service Society, Handicap Welfare Association. The Guest of Honour was Ms. Cheryl Chan, Member of Parliament for East Coast GRC. 80 senior citizens from Fengshan constituency also attended in the luncheon. Ms Chan delivered a speech during the lunch: "Thank you Chairman Toh for inviting me. I am very happy to gather with many grandpas and grandmas today. I would like to thank Chairman Toh and Charity Organizations such as Cheng Hong Welfare Services Society for caring for the elderly every day in our society. Merry Christmas everyone and all the best in the upcoming Year of the Rabbit.”
In fact, 26 years ago, Toh Soon Huat suggested in the Boon Lay community to start the《Celebrating the Chinese New Year and Distributing hongbaos for the Elderly》. At the beginning, everyone worked together and continued this event until today. This activity is to let the elderly from low-income families of different races in the community to have a warm and happy New Year. A hongbao, a loving New Year's gift pack, a New Year's blessing, and a new start have also brought love and care to more people. Tens of thousands of elderly residents have benefited so far.

The "Christmas Charity Luncheon for the Elderly" was initiated by the organising committee of the Cheng Hong Welfare Services Society in 2018. It is a charitable project to respect the elderly supported by many local businesses and organizations. They took turns to host about 500 elderly and people with disabilities with a hearty meal in a restaurant each month. The charity luncheon has been suspended since 2020 due to the epidemic, and has resumed in May this year, and a total of 30 luncheons have been held so far.
The invited elderly residents came from community centres in Aljunied, Jurong East, Bedok North, Kaki Bukit, Punggol, Kreta Ayer, Marymount, and MacPherson as well as Handicap Welfare Association and Sian Chay Medical Institution. Staff and volunteers from each organization were also invited to the luncheon to celebrate Christmas and New Year together. During the luncheon, the Nam Hwa Teochew Opera Troupe performed a traditional Teochew opera, the Cheng Hong Welfare Services Society performed a farewell skit, the volunteer group danced, the singing class chorus, You Fa, Feng Gaomei and other artistes presented wonderful programmes, and "Santa Claus coming to town". Everyone distributed gifts one by one. This year, all the gift packs were provided by Sian Chay Medical Institution. Each pack contained two pairs of negative ion health socks worth $29 The body functions of the elderly are declining. 18/12/2022 - The International Migrant Worker Day was officially launched, and more than 16,000 foreign workers celebrated together with food and games. At the carnival in the afternoon, Sian Chay Medical Institution fully supported and participated as the main sponsor for the Singapore Ministry of Manpower organised "International Migrant Worker Day 2022". Sian Chay Medical Institution prepared 20,000 love goodie bags to thank the migrant workers for their contributions to Singapore. The goodie bag is a reusable backpack with a towel, a toothbrush, a tube of toothpaste, a cake of soap, a pack of coffee, a can of energy drink, a chocolate wafer, a cheese wafer, a strawberry cake, a chocolate cake, and a Sian Chay Medical Institution brochure.

29/12/2022 - The Sian Chay Love gift pack sharing was launched at the Man Fatt Tong Nursing Home. This activity aims to thank the medical staff who have selflessly contributed in the front-line. Today's activity was the first stop of this charity project. The voluntary Executive Chairman of Sian Chay Medical Institution, Dato’ Seri Toh Soon Huat, JP, BBM(L), PVPA attended the event to give support and encouragement.
The fight against epidemic is a long-term effort and persistence. It not only depends on the people's trust in the government, but also cannot ignore the trust and gratitude of the public, especially the businessmen and medical staff.
Today's Love gift pack sharing is the first of a series of charity activities. It is a spontaneous action by a group of Singaporean businessmen to understand the dedication and hard work of frontline medical staff in epidemic prevention. The five sponsors are:

Toh Soon Huat, JP, presented the souvenirs 《Charity》 and 《Completeness》 to two old friends and seasoned businessmen who had done many charitable deeds. He also thanked Dr. Hui Renmei for his support and encouragement to Sian Chay over the years.
30/12/2022 - The Honourable Chairman of Sian Chay Medical Institution, Mr. Ng Swee Choon Suichan PBM, Chairman of Straits Realty handed over $200,000 to Mr. Toh Soon Huat, JP, voluntary Executive Chairman of Sian Chay Medical Institution.
During the epidemic in 2020, Mr. Ng visited the Geylang headqusrters of Sian Chay Medical Institution, and after chatting with Mr. Toh Soon Huat, JP, Chairman of Sian Chay Medical Institution, and the patients, he decided to donate $120,000 to help charity in difficult times. Sian Chay lets more poor people to receive good medical care.
Mr. Ng established the S C Wong Foundation Trust in 2013 and donated about $800,000 to $1 million a year to help vulnerable groups in society. Mr. Ng also donated $200,000 per year in the name of the Foundation to adopt the Sian Chay 692 Geylang and Redhill branches to subsidize the operation and medical costs of these branches. So far, it has donated $520,000 to Sian Chay Medical Institution.
Mr. Ng Swee Choon shared: "Now is a difficult time. Whether it is an enterprise or a charitable organization, they are all struggling with survival. Straits Reality has been in operation for so many years, and has always adhered to the principle of "taking from society and giving back to society. Give back to society and help the disadvantaged groups. The reason why I chose to donate to Sian Chay Medical Institution is because I saw that the selfless contribution of such a large charity organization led by Chairman Toh Soon Huat is a great act. This is rather rare nowadays and we should assist him. I hope to give more support and encouragement to Sian Chay Medical Institution in my lifetime, so that Sian Chay Medical Institution can do better and continue to help the unfortunate people in society.”

31/12/2022 - The Honourable Chairman of Sian Chay Medical Institution, the Founder, Chairman and CEO of Neo Garden Group, Mr Neo Kah Kiat PBM, visited Sian Chay Medical Institution today to present his donation of $500,000 to the volunteer Executive Chairman Toh Soon Huat, JP.
The Choa Chu Kang Branch of Sian Chay Medical Institution officially went into operation on 28th August 2021. Mr. Gan Kim Yong, Grassroots Adviser of Choa Chu Kang Grassroots Organizations and Minister for Trade and Industry officiated the opening ceremony for the branch. In addition to donating $500,000 to sponsor the establishment of Sian Chay Choa Chu Kang Branch, Neo Garden Group also agreed to adopt $300,000 the branch to defray the annual operation and medical costs of Choa Chu Kang Branch.
