It is my pleasure to extend my heartiest congratulations to Chairman Dr. Toh Soon Huat JP, BBM, PVPA and his 83rd Term Board on their successful re-election to the Board of Directors for the next three years (2018-2021). This commitment to contribute and participate in this worthy charity cause is deserving of our respect and recognition. My sincere appreciation to Dr Toh for his personal contribution and community service in my Hougang SMC.
At the same time, I wish to express my appreciation to the Advisers, Life Honourable Chairman, Honourable Chairmen, Honorary Chairmen, Honorary Directors, Charity, Benevolent and Youth Ambassadors for their voluntary service to Sian Chay Medical Institution and care for the beneficiaries.
Our Grassroots organisations are very grateful for the convenience and low cost medical charge and treatment provided to the community regardless of race, religion or nationality. The wide network of 15 branches islandwide to serve the residents is a boon to the elderly and needy residents living in the HDB heartlands.
Sian Chay Medical Institution should be commended for the initiatives to care for the Pioneer Generation and the disadvantaged group through the Pioneer Generation Medical Fund and the To’ Puan Dr Tsao Sui Lan Memorial Endowment Fund respectively.
May I urge the many supporters and well wishers to continue to support Sian Chay to continue in its mission to care for the elderly and needy in our rapidly ageing society. I wish to thank the management and staff for their dedication and sacrifice to serve the less privileged in our society.
