Congratulations to Sian Chay Medical Institution for being conferred with SPBA- Special Merit
On 6th Sept, Sian Chay Medical Institution was conferred the 2017 Singapore Prestige Brand Award – Special Merit.
It is reported that the “Singapore Prestige Brand Award” is to recognise Singapore local enterprises which perform outstandingly in digitizing and globalization. 2017 is the 16th year for this award. The theme of 2017 SPBA is “Transforming Brands, Securing the Future”. Singapore Prestige Brand Award (SPBA) comprises six main Award Categories, namely SPBA – Micro Brands, SPBA – Promising Brands, SPBA – Established Brands, SPBA – Heritage Brands, SPBA – Regional Brands and SPBA – Special Merit. This year’s award-winning brands come from F&B, retail, medical services and other fields. SPBA has recognised and awarded to more than 430 excellent local brands so far.
For a long time, Sian Chay has been unanimously recognized by Singapore society for its open-minded attitude and sense of social responsibility for benefiting the public. In recent years, with the continuous development of Sian Chay, this 100-year-old medical institution, glows with vitality under the leadership of Chairman Toh Soon Huat.
Mr. Toh summarized the history of Sian Chay and he has launched the core values of Sian Chay, Forgiveness, Universal Love, Compassion, Gratitude and Blessing, catering to the new era, the new century and the charity trend, charity ideas. The core values are also integrated into the day-to-day conduct of everyone at Sian Chay. Sian Chay should strive to seek for more well-being for Singaporeans, to promote the concept of “From the society, For the society” and to take care of the vulnerable groups, with efforts or money. Wishing everyone working together to contribute to charity cause with one’s own efforts. Nation Progresses, Family Prospers; Family Harmony, Successful Endeavours. Forward with the Nation, Bonding with the People. The society will be a better one. This is also the code of conduct of charity causes.
The greatest benevolence is like water, and the highest virtue tolerates all. Only that can benefit the public. Hope that together we can deliver kindness to anyone in need, which is the real meaning of “Sian Chay” (to help with kindness). At the same time, we appreciate the encouragement from the SPBA Organizing Committee. Sian Chay will continue to do its best with its mission in philanthropy.
