To commemorate the birthday celebration of the deity Tua Pek Kong, Ghim Moh Market and Food Centre made donations to social welfare causes. Sian Chay Medical Institution was one of the beneficiaries. Dr. Ng Ser Kwei, Executive Director, received the donation of $5,000 on behalf of Sian Chay.
$5000 donation can help 500 elderly patients to enjoy free medical consultation, medication and tuina. Helping a person is equivalent to helping the whole family, because if any family member falls sick, the life and mood of the whole family will be greatly affected. Helping a family will bring happiness and joy to everyone around him. We hope to help patients get relieve from suffering and pain, and foster happy and healthy families, a harmonious society, and let everyone feeling a bright future in this country.
Located in the Ulu Pandan Division, the Ghim Moh Market and Food Centre is well patronised by foreign customers and has also served national leaders. Some people call it the “Premier Market”. In this hawker centre with more than 40 years of history, you can find the tradtional Teochew Chui Kuay, the Satay bee hoon and lontong cooked by the Singing King, and the popular durian stall with long queue. The colourful Ghim Moh Market and Food Centre not only attracts neighbourhood residents and office staff, but also caters the diners islandwide on the weekends.
