Goodwill Benefits People, Good Deeds Beyond Fame

On 10th March at 2pm (Sunday), Xin Sheng Poets Society held a special meeting. Life Honorary President of Xin Sheng Poets Society and Chairman of the Sian Chay Medical Institution, Toh Soon Huat JP, also attended the meeting.
Xin Sheng Poets Society, located in Singapore’s traditional cultural area – Smith Street in Chinatown, is an important cultural organisation in Singapore. The Poets Society has been in existence for 61 years, and has continued to contribute to the Chinese poetry community and groom many new poets. Xin Sheng Poets Society also promotes poetry through Chinese traditional cultural courses, poetry choir classes, reading clubs, etc. It has gradually created a unique style of poetry culture in Singapore.
At the end of the meeting, Mr. 詹尊权, Life Honorary President, and Ms. 郑锦涟, President of the Poets Society, presented a special calligraphy, “Goodwill Benefit People, Good Deeds Beyond Fame”, to Mr. Toh Soon Huat JP, Life Honorary President of the Poets Society and Chairman of Sian Chay Medical Institution. It was in appreciation of Mr. Toh Soon Huat’s support, encouragement and trust in the Poets Society. Chairman Toh Soon Huat said, “Charity Arts. Bright Journey Together. Mutual Collaboration. Benevolence For All!”
