GREAT LOVE KNOWS NO BOUNDARY – $120,000 Donation dedicated by Robert Goh

Robert Goh, an Indonesian entrepreneur based in Singapore and Chairman of the Indonesian Chinese Association has long been acquainted with Sian Chay’s Chairman Dr Toh Soon Huat. Deeply touched by Chairman Toh’s consistent selfless devotion and dedication, Robert Goh, his wife and family members decided to donate $10,000 every month, adding up to $120,000 a year to Sian Chay Medical Institution, to help the needy patients. He said, “Sian Chay is a social enterprise, which requires members of the public and the kind-hearted people to come together to support, irrigate and promote it to ensure its continued operation. Everyone should join forces in an atmosphere of love and gratitude, and work together to do good , contribute back to the society, benefit the multitude, spread positive energy, and co-create a harmonious and wonderful society.”
With $120,000 a year, 12,000 low-income senior citizens will be able to enjoy free TCM consultation and medication.
Chairman Toh Soon Huat shared that, “When you help one person, it is equivalent to helping the entire family, because when a family member falls ill, the whole family will be affected. Our mission is to help patients move away from sorrow and attain joy, relieve their sufferings, and create healthy and happy families, which will in turn result in a harmonious society.”
For a long period of time, in service delivery and upholding of tradition, Chairman Dr Toh Soon Huat has consistently adhered to the five core values of :“Forgiveness, Universal Love, Compassion, Gratitude and Blessings”. Complementing Singapore’s nation building effort towards creating a harmonious society, Sian Chay has been actively promoting the macroscopic beliefs of “There is no family without a nation, & Success begins with a harmonious family”, “Only when good resides within the nation, and kindness dwells among its people, the society can prosper.”
Based on these precepts, Sian Chay enthusiastically supports charitable causes, and is dedicated to participating in charity activities organized by the constituencies, institutions and community centres.
