To support the celebration of Hari Raya, Yuhua Slam Lebaran 2017, at Yuhua SMC on 22 July 2017, Sian Chay Medical Institution sponsored 250 goodie bags each worth $20 for distribution to Malay residents from Yuhua SMC.
Ms. Grace Fu, Minister for Culture, Community and Youth and MP for Yuhua SMC, hosted the opening ceremony of the celebration. Mrs. Karin Fichtinger-Grohe, Ambassador of Austria was the Special Guest. Mr. Toh Soon Huat, Chairman of Sian Chay BBM, PVPA, also attended the event and represented Sian Chay to receive the Appreciation Certificate from Minister Grace Fu. Sian Chay was very honored to celebrate Hari Raya together with Yuhua Malay residents, to share their festive joy and to support the needy Malay families with goodie bags.
By end 2017, there will be 2 new branches commencing service; namely, Moulmein-Cairnhill branch and Gambas branch, bringing total number of branches to 15 serving up to 1,500 patients daily. The plan for Sian Chay in the next 5 years (2018-2022) is to serve up to 2.5 million patient visits and to dispense up to 4.8 million dosages of prescriptions. Sian Chay strongly promotes the 5 Core Values, which are Forgiveness, Universal Love, Compassion, Gratitude and Blessing. And to support nation building and create a harmonious society, Sian Chay actively promotes the concept that “Nation Progresses, Family Prospers. Family Harmony, Successful Endeavoursâ€, and that “Forward with the Nation, Bonding with the People.†To fully support philanthropy by active participation in charity activities of community organisations, civic groups and community centers and to give back to the society.
Colourful performances from The Chinese Orchestra and dancers/singers were a fabulous fiesta to all residents attended that night.
