Sian Chay Medical Institution received a donation cheque of $100,000 from Kwan Im Thong Hood Cho Temple on 18 April 2017.

Kwan Im Thong Hood Cho Temple established since 1884 at its present location undergone a reconstruction in 1895. It has a history of over 133 years, even longer than Sian Chay. For these two organizations with more than one century history, they both hold the similar faith, which is to relieve the public from pain and to bring them happiness and wellness.

In 2016, Sian Chay witnessed a year of rapid development and a year of challenges. New branches were opened as planned, bringing Sian Chay’s service within reach of tens of thousands of households, which is definitely a public blessing. Upon learning that Sian Chay branches serve to benefit the public, the Board of Trustees of Kwan Im Thong Hood Cho Temple considered and approved a donation of $100,000 for Sian Chay.

The $100,000 donation for Sian Chay is a timely financial support for the annual salary of 3 TCM physicians at Sian Chay Main branch. There are three physicians, two tuina therapists, three TCM Assistants at 610 Geylang , serving a daily average of over 150 patients.

We hereby would like to thank Kwan Im Thong Hood Cho Temple for their kindness in need and their Buddhist compassion. Meanwhile we hope that more social enterprises will support Sian Chay. With each branch being supported, we can help to build a better nation with your contribution.
