Minister Ong Ye Kung’s Warm Greeting to the Patients at Sian Chay Gambas Branch

On 10th March, 2018 (Saturday), Minister Ong Ye Kung, Minister for Education (Higher Education and Skills) & Second Minister for Defence, and MP for Sembawang GRC, cordially greeted the patients waiting outside Sian Chay Gambas Branch and asked about their health during his house visits accompanied by the grassroots organisations. When leaving, the Minister also did not forget to greet the staff of the clinic, tuina therapists and receptionist, thank them for caring for the elderly.
Sian Chay Gambas Branch was set up in April 2016 with the support and approval of Ministry of Health. The construction project started on 15th May 2017 and it was completed on 23rd July, 2017. Commencing service since 15th September, 2017, Sian Chay Gambas Branch currently has two physicians, one tuina therapists, and two TCM assistants serving the residents of Gambas. Pioneer Generation patients, Silver Ribbon clients and RSVP senior volunteers can all enjoy full waiver of medical charges at Sian Chay clinics. In addition, low-income residents in Gambas area can also enjoy free medical treatment with the referral letters from MPs at Meet-the-People sessions.
The renovation cost ($200,000) of Gambas Branch was fully sponsored by our Honourable Chairman Dato’ Seri Dr. Derek Goh BBM, Executive Chairman & Group CEO of Serial System Ltd.
With the commencement of operation of Gambas Branch, Sian Chay will be able to help more people and relieves their pain and enhance their health and happiness. Helping a person is like helping a whole family, as each family member’s sickness will surely affect the mood of the rest of the family. Our mission is to help the patient get relief from suffering and pain, create a healthy and blissful family, and build a harmonious society.
