Mr. Ng Chee Meng, Minister for Education (Schools) & Second Minister for Transport visited Sian Chay North Punggol Branch
During the CNY on 11th February, Mr. Ng Chee Meng, Minister for Education (Schools) & Second Minister for Transport visited the Punggol North Branch which has commenced operations on 13th February 2017 (Monday). Then, Minister Ng visited Sian Chay with Accompanied by Chairman Toh Soon Huat BBM PVPA, Dato’ Sri Ricky Kok Kuan Hwa, Vice Chairman of Sian Chay, Director Ms. Michelle Lu Yanping, Honourable Chairman Mr. Pang Lim BBM, Benevolent Ambassador Ms Shen Xiaoyan, NUS EMBA24 alumni Ms. Huang Caijuan and PR Manager Ms. Wang Hui.
Sian Chay has always been guided by its own five core values, which are Forgiveness, Universal Love, Compassion, Gratitude and Blessing, striving to offer more welfare for Singaporeans and to promote the idea of “Benefit from the society. Family Harmony, Successful Endeavours.” and “Forward with the Nation, Bonding with the People” Only with this can the society be a better one”.
Chairman Toh Soon Huat BBM PVPA briefed Minister Ng on the recent developments of Sian Chay Medical Institution and the preparations for the opening of the North Punggol Branch. The cost of the branch renovation was about $243,000. The bulk of the costs, more than $200k, was sponsored by the alumni of NUS EMBA 24th class. Koufu Pte Ltd sponsored another $50,000. On that same day, Mr. Pang Lim BBM also pledged an annual donation of $50,000 for North Punggol Branch’s operating expenses.
Minister Ng commented, “Thanks to Sian Chay and benevolent people for everything they have done, and hope that Sian Chay can help more people.”
